INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR ADULTS

Dr. Christine Marra, Psychologist
Welcome to My Practice
Thank you for visiting my practice. I’m Dr. Christine Marra, a Licensed Psychologist with over 25 years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages—from children as young as 3 to seniors well into their 100s—and across diverse communities. My experience spans treating persons with developmental disabilities, severe and persistent mental illness, trauma survivors, college students, individuals managing physical impairments and PTSD as well as those navigating everyday challenges and life transitions. I’ve also led support groups for parents, caregivers, and people in major life changes. My approach to therapy is collaborative and integrative, meaning I tailor my methods to fit your unique needs. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and consistently check in to ensure we are meeting your goals and expectations throughout the process.
My office is conveniently located in Sayville, NY. Please feel free to contact me at (631) 268-5577 for a confidential consultation.

- Low self-esteem or poor self-image
- Health or medical concerns impacting your well-being
- Trauma, grief, or loss
- Emotional baggage from childhood

SERVICES
Your unique needs and circumstances will guide our work together. From the initial intake onward, I view our relationship as a partnership. With over 25 years of experience, I bring a broad understanding of human behavior, mental health, and developmental issues, which will inform our sessions.
I draw from various psychological approaches—cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, health, and relational/interpersonal—to tailor a plan that’s best for you. My goal is to help you understand the role of your relationships in your life and explore how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions impact your self-esteem. By improving these patterns, we’ll work toward greater personal growth and healthier, more meaningful connections.
Feel free to ask questions and share any thoughts or feelings during our work together. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
